Fees and Payments
For privately paying clients, consultation fee for a 50 minute session is $160. If you have a referral from your General Practitioner, Psychiatrist or Paediatrician, you may be entitled to a $124.50 rebate under Medicare. Where financial hardship may be a barrier to seeking psychological assistance, a discounted fee may be considered.
In particular circumstances, all sessions may be bulk billed which means that Medicare will cover all sessions with no payment from yourself required. At present, clients may receive ten sessions per calendar year, initially six with a further four sessions granted if deemed necessary by your psychologist and general practitioner/psychiatrist. These sessions only apply to treatment. We are unable to provide reports for legal issues nor are we able to provide a report for applications for the Disability Support Pension.
If you have private health insurance cover, your insurer may provide rebates. Please contact your insurer to ascertain whether your policy covers psychological services.
Punctuality, Cancellation and Non-Attendance
Please be advised that, should you arrive late for your appointment, the duration of the session will unfortunately be less than the appointed time and may reduce the efficacy of treatment.
Rescheduling, Cancellation and Non-Attendance
As a psychologist, I value your time and our sessions. I ask that you please value my time. I understand that emergencies occur and you may need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. I respectfully ask for cancellations and rescheduled appointments be done so with at least 24 hours' notice. I will always support what you need to do to take care of yourself and your family. However, barring life threatening emergencies, if you are unable to provide the 24 hours' advance notice, the full fee of $160 will be payable. In these circumstances, you are unable to claim the $124.50 rebate from Medicare. For clients being bulk billed, your deposit of $50 will unfortunately be forfeited.
Thank you for your understanding and co-operation.
