Many of us at some time in our lives, have the need to talk to somebody about overcoming obstacles or challenges that we may be facing. You may be at a phase in your life where things are not working as you would like them to.
Whilst there is no substitute for having a good social support network, psychologists are trained to work with you to identify and resolve issues that may be negatively impacting on your life.
People generally see psychologists for a variety of reasons. Some of these reasons may be feeling “down” stressed, anxious and overwhelmed. Making an appointment to see a psychologist does not indicate a weakness. In fact, the opposite is true in that it shows insight and courage. Finding a psychologist that you are comfortable with is the first step in the process.
I am a mature, clinically trained psychologist with over 25 years’ corporate experience, primarily within the legal environment. I have lived in the United Kingdom, South Africa and, for the past 39 years, in Australia. I combine evidence-based clinical knowledge and skills with commonsense and sound judgment to tailor individualised treatment programs for my clients. I offer Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, EMDR and ACT. I provide an open, non-judgmental and safe space for therapy.
I am registered with the Psychology Board of Australia (PSY0001336869) and, as a Member of the Australian Psychological Society, you can be assured of receiving the highest standards of care.
